Bhubaneswar, Feb. 23 -- Oil price will be reduced if the central government reduces the cess, Odisha Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari told the state Assembly on Tuesday.
Replying to the admissibility of an adjournment motion on the oil price hike, Mr Pujari said the Odisha government is collecting less tax in comparison to the central government.
The tax collected by the state government is being utilized for the welfare of the people, he said.
Citing an example, the Finance minister said the price of petrol per litre in Bhubaneswar today was Rs 91.66.
