Imphal, Dec. 13 -- Oil depots across Manipur remained closed on Saturday in protest against threats and extortion demands issued by unknown armed persons.
The shutdown has triggered a major fuel crisis, as oil depots had already been closed for the past two days due to a strike called by various organisations. With fuel supplies disrupted for three consecutive days, many people were forced to purchase petrol from the black market.
