Bengaluru, Sept. 25 -- The Karnataka Cabinet has decided to take strict disciplinary action against government officers and employees who abstain from participating in the ongoing Social and Educational Survey across the state.

Briefing media after the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister HK Patil said the action targets officials who fail to perform survey duties, particularly in Bengaluru.

"Disciplinary action will be taken against those who are not following the instructions," Patil said, adding that officers concerned would ensure accountability for non-participation.
