Bhubaneswar, July 2 -- The Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), deployed in the flood-affected Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts, has so far rescued and relocated more than 8,191 people to safer places from 18 blocks across both districts.
Heavy and continuous rainfall in North Odisha has led to a flood situation in the region, with water levels in major rivers like Subarnarekha, Budhabalanga, and Jalaka rising above the danger mark.
In response, the Odisha Government deployed ODRAF teams to carry out large-scale rescue and relief operations. These teams have played a crucial role in saving lives and minimizing damage to property in the flood-affected areas.
