Bhubaneswar, Oct. 10 -- The Odisha Vigilance today arrested OAS officer Siba Mallick, Tahsildar of Mahakalpada in Kendrapara, for possessing disproportionate assets (DA) worth 190 percent more than his known sources of income.

According to Vigilance sources, the DA uncovered during raids included four buildings, seven valuable plots, bank deposits of Rs 18 lakh, and cash of Rs 1.55 lakh. Mallick failed to provide satisfactory explanations for these assets.

He has been arrested and is being forwarded to court today.

A case has been registered against Mallick and his spouse under Section 13(2) read with Sections 13(1)(b)/12 of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018.
