Bhubhneswar, Oct. 14 -- The Additional District and Sessions Judge Court in Padampur today sentenced a man to life imprisonment for the murder of a woman three years ago.
According to case records, the convict, Debasish Barik, murdered the victim, Manjulata Patel, without any provocation at Gambharidihi village under Padampur police station jurisdiction on June 28, 2022.
Barik attacked her with an axe, delivering multiple blows to her head, neck, and body. She later succumbed to profuse bleeding.
