Puri, Jan. 27 -- The diarrhoea outbreak that affected seven villages under the Kanas block and claimed four lives has been contained, Puri Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) Dr. Biraja Shankar Rath said.
Dr. Rath, along with other senior health officials, visited the affected villages, including Jagulai Padar, Paikamara, Gopinathpur, Kalapadar, and Nuagaon, to assess the situation.
He reported that 91 affected individuals were successfully treated at various hospitals in Kanas and Bhubaneswar. On Sunday, only three patients were admitted, and on Monday, just one person required hospitalization.
