Bhubaneswar, Dec. 1 -- About 52 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants had been identified in various districts across Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the Assembly on Monday.
Responding to a question raised by MLA Goutam Buddha Das (BJD), the Chief Minister stated in a written reply that out of the 52 identified infiltrators, 49 have already been deported to Bangladesh after completion of legal procedures.
Providing district-wise details, Majhi said the highest number-24 immigrants,were detected in the Urban Police District (UPD) of Khordha. This was followed by 15 in UPD-Cuttack, six in Ganjam, three in Kandhamal, and one in Koraput district.
