Bhubaneswar, May 2 -- No school in Odisha recorded a zero pass rate in this year's High School Certificate (HSC) examination, while 3,273 schools achieved a 100 per cent pass rate.

The exams were conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, and the results were announced on Friday.

School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, while releasing the results, stated that once again, girl students have outperformed boys.

This year, 5,02,417 regular students appeared for the matriculation examination, of which 4,84,863 passed, registering an overall pass rate of 94.93 per cent. The pass rate among boys is 94 per cent, while girls have achieved a higher rate of 96 per cent.
