Bhubaneswar, March 21 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Fridayaccorded approval for the regularisation of 13,000 schematic junior teachers who were earlier engaged in teaching assignments in schools on contractual payroll.
The junior teachers appointed during the 2023-24 academic year will now be accorded the status of regular government employees following the decision, Chief Minister's Office said in a statement.
With this move, more than 13,000 contractual Junior Teachers across the state will reap benefits in terms of a hike in salary and other benefits entitled to government employees.
