Bhubaneswar, June 9 -- Odisha Vigilance sleuths have nabbed Dharmagarh sub-collector Dhiman Chakma, an IAS officer of the 2021 batch, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10 lakh from a local businessman.
Vigilance sources said the IAS officer was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs 10 lakh on Sunday. This amount was an installment of the overall Rs 20 lakh bribe demand.
Chakma had allegedly threatened the businessman that he would act against his business if he did not receive the bribe.
