Bhubaneswar, March 27 -- The Odisha Vigilance arrested Assistant Engineer Panchu Behera on Friday for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Behera currently posted as Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of the Daha Irrigation Sub-Division in Bhanjanagar, was produced before the Special Vigilance Court in Berhampur for remand.
According to Vigilance officials, he was found to have amassed assets amounting to 334 percent more than his legitimate income, which he failed to justify satisfactorily.
