Bhubaneshwar, Dec. 31 -- The vigilance wing of Odisha Police on Wednesday arrested an state Revenue Service officer for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Jitendra Kumar Panda, Additional Tehsildar, Barang in Cuttack district, was arrested by the vigilance wing and forwarded to the court of special judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar for possession of disproportionate assets (DA) to the tune of nearly 298% of his known sources of income.
A case was registered against Panda under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, said the anti-graft cell.
