Bhubaneswar, May 7 -- Odisha has notified the Odisha City Gas Distribution (CGD) Policy, 2026, setting the stage for large-scale expansion of piped natural gas (PNG) and city gas infrastructure across the state as part of its clean energy and urban development roadmap.
Issued by the Housing and Urban Development Department, the policy came into effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette and is aimed at accelerating the adoption of natural gas as a cleaner, eco-friendly fuel across domestic, commercial, industrial and transport sectors.
