Bhubaneswar, March 21 -- The Odisha cabinet has decided to undertake all developmental and welfare works using the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) fund within a five-kilometer radius of mining areas in saturation mode.

Announcing the cabinet's decision in the state Assembly on Friday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi stated that the list of works in the affected areas would be determined solely by the DMF Trust, and no other entity would have the authority to alter or interfere with it.
