Bhubaneswar, May 26 -- The Odisha government has decided to set up a cyber command centre in Bhubaneswar to tackle the increasing menace of cyber crimes, said Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania.
Speaking at the inauguration of a workshop on 'Cyber crime investigation and cyber intelligence' on Monday, the DGP said the new command centre would play a vital role in expediting efforts to control, detect, and respond to cyber crimes, as well as provide immediate assistance to victims.
Khurania noted a surge in cyber crimes such as online investment frauds, financial scams, identity theft, digital arrests, and the exploitation of children and the elderly. He said the state police is conducting a large-scale campaign to ra...
