Bhubaneswar, Feb. 23 -- Odisha government will set up an Adarsha Vidyalaya and develop a memorial at Berboi of Delang visited by Mahatma Gandhi, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said.
Interacting with the people of the Pipli constituency through video conferencing on the occasion of 100 years of Mahatma Gandhi's first visit to Odisha, Mr Patnaik said Gandhiji first came to Odisha on March 23, 1921 and in 1938 he participated in an exhibition at Berboi area of Delanga.
He announced development projects worth Rs 68 crore for the development of Pipili-Delang Assembly constituency.
The money, the Chief Minister said, would be utilised for various developmental works like construction of roads, bridges, irrigation, stadium and bus stand.
