Bhubaneswar, April 5 -- In a move aimed at strengthening the implementation of the POSHAN Abhiyaan, the Odisha Cabinet on Saturday approved the procurement of 79,033 smartphones for Anganwadi Workers, Lady Supervisors, and Block Coordinators-Poshan.

The decision, taken during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, is part of the state's efforts to improve the delivery of nutritional services and ensure real-time monitoring of activities under the initiative.

The smartphones will be procured at a total cost of Rs. 93.13 crore.
