Bhubaneswar, Aug. 4 -- The Odisha government is set to launch a Mass Drug Administration (MDA) campaign across selected blocks in 12 districts to eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis (LF) from the state.

As part of the initiative, an exclusive awareness drive was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Health & Family Welfare and the ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department.

The campaign reached 47 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS).

More than 5,600 students, principals, and teachers were sensitized on Lymphatic Filariasis, including its modes of transmission, prevention methods, and the critical importance of drug compliance under the MDA initiative.
