Bhubaneswar, Sept. 26 -- Odisha will launch its own herbal brand, Kalinga Herbs, with a dedicated outlet at the Regional Plant Research Centre (RPRC), Bhubaneswar, for marketing herbal products.

The decision was taken at the 6th Executive Body Meeting of the State Medicinal Plants Board (SMPB), chaired by Additional Chief Secretary of the Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department, Satyabrata Sahu.

The Executive Body approved a Five-Year Vision Plan to strengthen the conservation, cultivation, and commercialization of medicinal plants across the state.

Sahu informed that funding for the first year will come from the Odisha Forestry Sector Development Society (OFSDS).
