Bhubaneswar, Aug. 25 -- The Odisha Government has decided to implement effective livelihood schemes such as the Odisha PVTG Livelihood Model and the Chief Minister's Tribal Livelihood Mission to curb the migration of workers from the state.

The state government had earlier engaged The Nudge Foundation to conduct a study on the causes of migration and suggest possible solutions.

The decision was taken at the third meeting of the High-Level Task Force on Reduction of Migrant Workers held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Agriculture and Farmers' Empowerment, K.V. Singh Deo.

Based on the survey report, the task force resolved to expand livelihood opportunities and skill training for migrant workers.
