Bhubaneswar, Aug. 10 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today announced that four new government medical colleges will soon be established in the state.
Inaugurating a 650-bed hospital at Shaheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital in Koraput, built at a cost of Rs.280 crore, Majhi said Odisha currently has 12 government medical colleges.
The proposed new institutions will be set up in Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak and Nabarangpur districts.
The Chief Minister also announced that all vacant health service posts in Shaheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital would be filled at the earliest.
