Bhubaneswar, Aug. 5 -- The Odisha government will set up 835 Godavarish Mishra Model Primary Schools across the state in the first phase, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said.

Reviewing the implementation of the Godavarish Mishra Model Primary School Programme, the Chief Minister stated that schools with more than 100 students, at least 2 acres of land, and offering education from nursery to Class VIII will be developed under this model.

These model schools will serve as feeder institutions to high schools and will be established with an estimated cost of Rs.7 crore each.

Majhi further said that one model school will be constructed in the headquarters of every Gram Panchayat, based on geographical need and accessibility. Special focus ...
