Bhubaneswar, July 25 -- Odisha is set to emerge as the textile hub of Eastern India, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced today while inaugurating Odisha TEX 2025, Eastern
India's largest textile and apparel industry event.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the state is making concerted efforts to position itself as a textile powerhouse by promoting its rich traditions such as the handloom craftsmanship
of Western Odisha, Berhampur silk, the unique tsar of Gajapati, Keonjhar, and the renowned Manibandha weaving art, all of which have earned national recognition.
