Bhubaneswar, May 6 -- Civil defence mock drills will be conducted across 12 districts in Odisha at 4 PM on Wednesday as part of a nationwide preparedness initiative. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has instructed all states and Union Territories to conduct mock drills on May 7 to enhance civil defence readiness. These drills aim to improve civilian preparedness in the event of hostile attacks. The exercises will include the activation of air raid warning sirens and training for civilians and students on safety protocols during emergencies.
