Bhubaneswar, July 19 -- The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Police today apprehended two wildlife criminals and recovered a live pangolin from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, an STF team conducted a raid on the Pitapalli-Chandaka road near Lata Bhuasuni Temple under the Infovalley Police Station limits.
STF sources said the accused, identified as Gakul Gupta and Tejram Meher, were intercepted and during the search operation, a live pangolin and other incriminating materials were recovered from them.
As the duo failed to produce valid documents for possessing the pangolin, they were arrested and will be forwarded to the Court of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM), Bhubaneswar.
