Bhubaneswar, March 24 -- The Odisha Government on Tuesday directed all departmental heads and municipal bodies to strictly adhere to prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and take proactive, coordinated measures to mitigate the risks posed by the ongoing heatwave.
The directive was issued by Housing and Urban Development Minister Krishna Chandra Mahapatra during a review meeting on heatwave preparedness. He stressed the importance of ensuring uninterrupted civic services in urban areas and reiterated that all guidelines must be implemented in both letter and spirit.
