Bhubaneswar, Nov. 20 -- Odisha Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan today urged all District Collectors to prepare detailed and future-ready urban development plans with a 50-year vision.

Speaking on the second day of the joint conference of District Collectors and Superintendents of Police, Harichandan stressed that Odisha must advance its urbanization efforts in alignment with national standards.

He noted that urban development plays a key role in boosting the economic growth of both the state and the nation. Cities, Harichandan said, must become engines of progress, and to support this, the state government is taking steps to construct bypass roads and ring roads around major towns to ease traffic congestion.
