Bhubaneswar, April 10 -- The Mayurbhanj chapter of Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) has urged the Government of Odisha to establish a Fossil Park along the Budha Balang River near Baripada, highlighting the site's immense scientific and heritage value.
According to Anil Dhir, Convener of INTACH's Bhubaneswar Chapter, the fossil site reveals extraordinary insights into the evolution of life in the region over tens of millions of years.
He emphasized that preserving this natural heritage is not just a scientific duty but also a visionary opportunity to position Odisha as a global geo-tourism destination.
