Bhubaneswar, Dec. 8 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the State Assembly on Monday that 1,832 people have lost their lives due to drowning in rivers and the sea over the past three years.
Responding to a question raised by Bibhuti Bhushan Balabantaray (BJD), the Chief Minister said 1,750 deaths occurred in rivers, while 82 people drowned in the sea during the period.
