Bhubaneswar, March 8 -- About 70 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been procured from around 15.65 lakh farmers during the ongoing Kharif season in Odisha, official sources said on Saturday.
During this Kharif season, Rs.15,613 crore has already been transferred to farmers' accounts as Minimum Support Price (MSP), along with Rs.5,430 crore as Input Assistance.
This information was revealed during a review meeting chaired by Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra.
