Bhubaneswar, Sept. 19 -- The Odisha government has accorded top priority to agricultural mechanisation to transform farming, enhance productivity, and empower farmers across the state.
A roadmap has been drawn up to raise farm power availability to 3.50 kW/ha by 2036 and 4.50 kW/ha by 2047, up from 2.61 kW/ha in 2024-25.
For the current financial year, the state has allocated Rs 540 crore in subsidies to support the distribution of farm machinery worth Rs 1,200 crore.
