Bhubaneswar, Aug. 4 -- The Odisha Police has launched an extensive search operation to locate four fishermen who went missing in the sea off the Balasore coast.
Three modern police boats have been deployed for the operation-one 12-tonne vessel from Kasaphala Marine Station, and two boats (12-tonne and 5-tonne) from Balaramgadi Marine
Station.
Sagar Mitra, from the State Fisheries Department, has also joined the rescue efforts.
Aerial surveillance is being carried out using drones provided by the Coast Guard in coordination
with the Odisha Police. The Marine Station teams began their sea search early this morning.
Responding to a request from the State Police, the Indian Coast Guard has also joined the operation.
