Bhubaneswar, Sept. 13 -- The anti-corruption Vigilance wing of Odisha police on Thursday caught an administrative officer, who topped the State civil services examination in 2019, red-handed while allegedly demanding and receiving a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a complainant for conversion of agriculture land into homestead plot, the officials said today.

The bribe-taking Odisha Administrative Officer Aswini Kumar Panda (33), currently posted as Tahasildar, in Bamra under Sambalpur district, topped in Odisha Civil Services in 2019.
