Bhubaneswar, Aug. 16 -- The Odisha School and Mass Education Department has launched a state-wide initiative titled "Aasa School Jiba" (Let us go to school) to curb the problem of school dropouts during the 2025-26 academic year.

As part of the campaign, special meetings involving parents, teachers, and School Management & Development Committees (SMDCs) were held across the state.

The meetings aimed to reintegrate out-of-school children into the mainstream education system, ensure enrollment in age-appropriate classes, and prevent students from discontinuing their studies.

Preventive measures to overcome challenges hindering children's education were also discussed.
