Bhubaneswar, June 15 -- The Odisha government on Sunday issued a high alert to all Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) following a surge in diarrhoea cases reported across multiple districts in the state.

The Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) Department has released an urgent advisory, directing all ULBs and district-level officials to take immediate preventive and response measures.

Principal Secretary of the H&UD Department, Usha Padhee, called for heightened vigilance and real-time monitoring to ensure the sanitisation and safety of all water sources, especially in vulnerable urban areas.
