Bhubaneswar, Jan. 5 -- The Odisha government has constituted a five-member high-level committee to strengthen monitoring, improve operational discipline, and enhance safety standards of Ama Bus services across the state.
Following a recent unfortunate incident involving an Ama Bus, a high-level review meeting on the safety, operation, and management of the service was held on the instructions of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The meeting, held on Sunday, was chaired by Principal Secretary of the Housing & Urban Development Department Usha Padhee and attended by Transport Commissioner Amitabh Thakur, Managing Director of CRUT Sanjaya Biswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police Jagmohan Meena, Traffic DCP, and other senior officials.
