Bhubaneswar, May 19 -- The Odisha government has initiated measures to identify illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators in the state and has entrusted the Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch to carry out the identification process.
Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan informed the media that under no circumstances will non-citizens be allowed to remain in the state. Once identified, such individuals will be deported.
STF Deputy Inspector General Pinak Mishra stated that several hotspots of Bangladeshi infiltration have already been identified. The STF, in close coordination with district police, the Coast Guard, and other relevant agencies, will soon begin the identification drive.
