Bhubaneswar, Jan. 22 -- The Odisha government on Monday effected a major reshuffle in the IAS cadre, transferring several district collectors ahead of the 2024 elections.

The opposition BJP has demanded that the state chief electoral officer transfer the officers who have stayed for more than three years to one particular place in view of the ensuing 2024 elections to the State Assembly as well as to the Lok Sabha.

Several districts in the state got new collectors in the reshuffle at the IAS level, as per a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department.
