Bhubaneswar, Sept. 10 -- Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati today urged officialsin Malkangiri district to extend greater support to the Bonda and Didayi communities, recognizedas Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), to ensure their effective access to government welfare schemes.
During his visit to Malkangiri district, the Governor stressed that subsidies alone are often inadequate for purchasing livestock such as cows and goats or for setting up small-scaleindustries.
He advised that PVTGs should be guided in securing bank loans to bridge financial gaps and improve their livelihood prospects.
