Bhubaneswar, Aug. 20 -- Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati today called upon banks to implement welfare schemes more proactively and ensure greater participation of beneficiaries.
On the second day of his visit to Bhadrak, the Governor interacted with the Lead Bank Manager and heads of banks after holding a comprehensive review meeting with the district administration at the Circuit House.
He highlighted that the Prime Minister has launched several schemes for the benefit of the poor, including PMJJBY, PMSBY, Atal Pension Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, PM MUDRA Yojana, and PM SVANidhi.
He urged bankers to extend loans more actively under these schemes to cover a larger section of people.
