Bhubaneswar, Sept. 2 -- Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati today suggested that dairy farmers be linked to the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) to help them access bank loans and secure the necessary funds to start or expand their businesses.
He said such initiatives would encourage dairy farming and significantly boost milk production in the state.
The Governor emphasized the need for close coordination with banks to ensure timely financial support for farmers.
"Timely support from banks will motivate and encourage farmers," Dr. Kambhampati remarked during his visit to the OMFED Mega Dairy Plant at Govindpur, Arilo, Cuttack.
