Bhubaneswar, Sept. 15 -- Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati today urged citizens to adopt electric vehicles (EVs) in the state's rapidly expanding cities, stressing their importance in reducing pollution and dependence on fossil fuels.

Speaking at the 42nd Foundation Day of the Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB), Dr. Kambhampati emphasised the need for collective action to safeguard the environment and secure a healthier future.

He pointed out that the Raj Bhavan's official fleet has already been converted to EVs, substantially reducing its carbon footprint and setting an example for others to emulate.
