Bhubaneswar, Nov. 1 -- Odisha has taken a major stride in the semiconductor sector and, after Bengaluru, is fast emerging as India's new electronics and IT capital, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said today.

Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of SiCSem Pvt. Ltd. at Infovalley, Bhubaneswar , for a semiconductor manufacturing unit with an investment of Rs.2,000 crore, the Chief Minister said that Odisha's journey in the semiconductor sector is gaining strong momentum.

"This moment is not just about bricks and cement; it symbolises aspiration, stability, collaboration, and self-reliance," Majhi said.
