Bhubaneswar, June 2 -- Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Y. B. Khurania on Monday directed police officials to remain active and vigilant to ensure the smooth conduct of the Puri Rath Yatra, which is scheduled to be held on June 27.
Khurania, who reviewed the security arrangements at the State Police Headquarters in Cuttack, said that lakhs of devotees from across the country would gather in Puri to witness the Car Festival.
As per the tradition of the Sri Jagannath Temple, the rituals of the Lord will be observed on various dates.
