Bhubaneswar, Sept. 10 -- Altogether 775 Pilgrims drawn from six Odisha districts today departed for sacred Ayodhya and Kashi Vishwanath under State Pilgrimage Scheme.

Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo, who flagged off the train, conveyed his best wishes to the pilgrims and lauded the scheme for its role in connecting India's diverse cultures through spiritual tourism.

Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Pravati Parida extended her best wishes for the maiden journey of the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme's first train for the financial year 2025-26, carrying devotees from Lord Lingaraj's shrine in Bhubaneshwar to the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Dham.
