Bhubaneswar, Dec. 22 -- A local in Bhubaneswar, on Monday convicted three drug peddlers and sentenced them to ten years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) along with a fine of Rs 1 lakh each.

The convicts have been identified as Sk. Sagba, Tanmay Kumar Sahoo, and Sk. Fakir. They were found guilty under Sections 21(c) and 29 of the NDPS Act, 1985.

According to the prosecution, the Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Police apprehended Sk. Sagba and Tanmay Kumar Sahoo near the rear gate of Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar while they were allegedly involved in trading narcotic brown sugar procured from Sk. Fakir of Balasore.
