Bhubaneswar, April 3 -- Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee President Bhakta Charan Das today strongly criticized Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for transferring another key railway section from the East Coast Railway (ECoR) to the proposed South Coast Railway (SCoR), calling the move against Odisha's interests.
Das stated that the Ministry of Railways issued a directive last Thursday revising the jurisdiction of the proposed South Coast Railway zone.
As per the Railway Board's notification dated April 2, the Palasa-Ichchapuram section under the Khurda Road division of ECoR will be shifted to the Visakhapatnam division of SCoR.
