Odisha Congress President revokes expulsion, suspension orders against party leaders

Bhubaneswar, Feb. 14 -- In a major decision, newly appointed Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Bhakta Charan Das on Friday revoked the suspension and expulsion orders issued against party leaders.

Das also appealed to former party leaders who had left the Congress in the past to return, assuring them that they would be welcomed back if they reaffirmed their faith in the party's policies and ideology.

In another key decision, the OPCC President, after consulting senior party leaders, announced the launch of the Sankalp Padayatra from Bhubaneswar to Puri on February 18. A 17-member committee, chaired by former MLA Debashish Pattnaik, has been constituted to organize the event.
