Bhubaneswar, Sept. 26 -- Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed all departments to remain fully prepared to deal with heavy rainfall and its possible impact, cautioning that the downpour may lead to flood-like situations in several areas, including urban pockets.
Majhi reviewed the situation today through a video conference with Collectors of 17 districts likely to be affected by the low-pressure system over the North and Central Bay of Bengal.
The Chief Minister directed the collectors to ensure round-the-clock functioning of district and block-level control rooms, provide regular updates, and take swift measures as the situation evolves.
